The seats of the Morris 850 featured pattern vinyl facings, while the sides and rear where finished in solid coloured vinyl. Unfortunately seats were often not long lived, and after nearly 60 years many have perished beyond recognition.

The patterned vinyls, which changed with time, were stitched in four distinctive styles over different periods. Together, the patterns and styles formed more than twenty different variants of seat trim. This sort of volume makes it a challenge when researching history.

A gallery page of all known variants has been produced to assist owners in identifying the original appearance of a car’s interior. Sample mock-ups have been produced, and photos of real cars included where available.
